About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Gazi Medical Journal is an international journal published in both Turkish and English and complies with independent and unbiased double-blind reviewing procedures. The journal publishes researches in the field of medicine, case reports, reviews on current topics, letters to the editor, other manuscripts on medical education.
The journal is published four times per year; in January, April, July, and October and is funded by Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.
The aim of the Gazi Medical Journal is to publish studies with highest clinical and scientific quality at the international level. Moreover, reviews, editor’s note, case reports and original images are also published in the journal. The target audience is composed of academicians, researchers, and specialists and all editorial process and publication procedures comply with the standards of ICMJE, WAME and COPE.
There is not any charge netiher for article submission nor processing.
The authors have to send their ORCID numbers during the submission.
Regarding plagiarism, text similarity above 15-20% in a manuscript will not be accepted (excluding abstract and references parts).
Appropriate use of English is a requirement for review and publication in GMJ so english proofreading result also should be submitted to the journal.

Free full-text copies of the manuscripts are available online at http://medicaljournal.gazi.edu.tr/. For subscription, applications for copyright permissions and for advertisements should be made to Editorial office.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The online "published" articles are freely available on the public internet.
Any user can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles.
The users can also crawl the articles for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
The open access statement of GMJ is in line with Budapest Open Access Initiative definition (http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/read).
